We’ve added a new Progress Score feature to give you a more meaningful way to track how you're doing - not just based on how many questions you get right, but how much of the Qbank you're actually working through.
📊 What Is the Progress Score?
The Progress Score combines your accuracy with your engagement, giving a fuller picture of your revision.
Unlike a regular percentage score, this score takes into account:
- How many questions you’ve attempted
- How many you’ve skipped
- How far you’ve progressed through the entire Qbank
It then adjusts your performance based on your overall effort, using a formula designed to reflect both quality and consistency of your practice.
🧮 How It's Calculated
Progress score = performance (correct questions / attempted questions) * progress (attempted questions / total questions available) ^ a (0.25)
In a nutshell, the more questions you attempt and get right, the higher your score will be.
🔎 What You’ll See
When you check your Progress Score, you’ll be shown:
- How your score has changed since your last session
- The number of questions attempted, correct, incorrect, and skipped
- An indication of how your current score compares to the estimated pass mark, if Pastest were representative of the real exam
💡 Why It Matters
This new scoring system is designed to:
- Encourage more consistent study habits
- Discourage skipping large numbers of questions just to boost percentages
- Give you a better sense of how prepared you really are, not just how well you’re doing in isolated bursts
We hope the Progress Score gives you extra clarity and motivation as you move through your revision — and helps you stay focused on steady, meaningful improvement.
