Why isn’t the app working for me?

Richard Richard

We know how frustrating it can be when things don’t go to plan — especially when you’re in the zone with your revision. If you're having trouble with the Pastest app, or if it seems like some of your data is missing, here’s how to get back on track.

Before you begin though, it's important to note that the Pastest app is only available to download on Apple devices (via the App Store) and Android devices (via the Play Store).

🔧 Quick Troubleshooting Tips

Before diving into deeper fixes, try these simple steps:

  • 📶 Check Your Internet Connection
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if the issue resolves.
  • 💾 Check Device Storage
Ensure your device has enough free space — low storage can prevent downloads and cause the app to misbehave.
  • 🔄 Log Out and Back In
A quick refresh often solves temporary glitches.
  • 📥 Check for App Updates
Head to the App Store or Google Play and make sure you’re using the latest version of the Pastest app.
  • 🧼 Reinstall the App
If problems persist, uninstall and reinstall the app for a clean start.

🛠️ Still Having Issues?

To help our support team investigate more effectively, please send us:

  • 📱 The make and model of your device (e.g. iPhone 14, Samsung Galaxy A52)
  • ⚙️ Your operating system (e.g. iOS 17.4, Android 13)
  • 🧾 The app version (you can find this on the login screen or in the main menu)
  • 📝 A description of the issue and when it happens
  • 📸 A screenshot or screen recording, if possible

This info gives our team the best chance of resolving your issue quickly.

🧠 Lost Data or Progress?

The app needs an active internet connection to sync your progress to our servers. If you're offline when completing a session, your progress may not be saved.

🛡️ How to Keep Your Progress Safe

  • 🌐 Stay Connected
Always make sure you’re online when finishing or submitting a session.
  • ⏱️ Work in Shorter Bursts
Try sessions of 20–30 questions instead of 100+ — it reduces the risk of data loss if something goes wrong.
  • 💾 Use “Save and Continue” Often
This syncs your progress manually and gives you peace of mind during longer sessions.
